Mia just wants her daughter to listen without talking back. Dailyn just wants her mom to quit being so judgemental. And they both just want everything to be perfect for when older sister Alex comes home for her birthday. But when a mysterious visitor from a digital dimension arrives on Mia’s doorstep, the very concepts of home and perfection are challenged.
Reality and social media blur together in the newest play from Boston’s own master playwright Kirsten Greenidge. An eccentric reflection of post-pandemic life, Morning, Noon, and Night navigates familial reckoning, digital surveillance, and the ways we can love each other after four long and traumatic years.
Company One Theatre Awarded $1.25 million from City of Boston & Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to flip the script on how Boston sees theatre
Company One Theatre (C1) has been awarded $1.25 million through two major grants to support its theatre as Public Art for Public Good initiative. Investment from the City of Boston’s Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture, the Boston Public Library, and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has ensured that in C1’s 25th season of producing unmissable theatrical events, the catalytic company will continue serving the city’s youngest and most diverse theatre audience with free performances and programs for years to come.

IRL vs. URL: Nurturing Wellbeing in a Digital World

Teens, caregivers, and anyone who needs a moment for themselves are invited to join C1 for an evening of art for wellbeing! Our friends from For Black Girls, Vital CxNs, and Drama Therapist Jamila Batts Capitman will guide participants through a variety of activities and resources to help you get grounded, connect with your inner artist, and find some relief from the daily overwhelm. The workshop includes free food, a plant and paint activity to get in touch with nature, journal collaging and writing prompts to spark creative reflection, and somatic exercises to get reconnected with the body and spirit.

Join Company One and our friends from Skip the Small Talk for some Sunday speed friending! We know that in this “post-pandemic” era it can be difficult to meet new people and make connections. This speed friend session is open to people of all ages who are looking to chat, meet someone new, and engage with others in the community. There will be coffee, snacks, and conversational prompts to get you started, lots of structure, and ground rules to make sure you feel comfortable and safe sharing as much of yourself as possible while still feeling in complete control of how much you divulge.
